Psychology Teachers

STAWA has established a Psychology Committee and for one of its members a position on the STAWA Council. Emily Goforth is currently the Psychology Committee chairperson and representative on the STAWA Council. The pro-active leadership of Emily is forming a solid foundation of professional leadership, learning and resources for teachers of psychology.

UWA Psychology Teachers Online Learning

The Psychology Committee in collaboration with UWA Psychology staff established an online learning program to support WACE Psychology teachers. The modules are provided free to STAWA Members, through the member's only portal. Modules have been design to provide additional background and learning around the areas of Cognition, Critical Thinking and Intelligence.

Psychology Student Resources

The Psychology Committee are currently writing revision materials for the WACE Psychology courses. These will be available for teachers and students to purchase. Details will be available soon.

2019 Events

STAWA Psychology Teachers Convention - Program and Registration

Initiated in 2015 the STAWA Psychology Teachers Convention aims to support teachers of the WACE Psychology course. The Convention program is developed with the support of the Psychology Committee.

Psychology Teachers Convention 22 August 2019 

Venue: Tranby College                90 Arpenteur Drive, Baldivis WA 

Date:  Thursday 22nd August 2019

Time: Registration from 8:45am. Proceedings from 9am-3pm.

For people wishing to catch public transport, we are able to provide a shuttle service from Warnbro Train Station to and from the college.

Program is currently being built and once speakers have confirmed it will be published.
