STAWA is pleased to provide you with the link to the recently completed STEM Learning Project resources and professional learning modules produced by a consortium of STAWA, MAWA, ECAWA and Scitech under contract to the Education Department.

The STEM Learning Project provides digital copies of innovative STEM teaching and professional learning resources to support teachers in all Western Australian schools to implement and extend the Kindergarten to Year 12 Curriculum and develop the general capabilities.

The project consists of:

  • Curriculum resource modules for teachers interested in integrated STEM teaching and learning approaches that engage students in collaborative learning to solve authentic, real world problems and associated
  • Professional learning modules for teachers of all year levels to encourage deeper exploration of the pedagogical principles that underpin the curriculum resource modules.

STAWA plans to offer tailored professional learning for schools who may be interested in implementing these resources into their existing science and STEM programs.

The Take 2 STEM campaign is about educating the community on the importance of STEM skills to ensure that all Western Australians are well-placed to take up new and emerging jobs.
