About STAWA and AGM

The Science Teachers’ Association of Western Australia, known as STAWA, was established in 1946. STAWA is an independent association of Science Educators dedicated to promoting science and science teaching in Western Australia.

STAWA has grown to include Pre-service, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary teachers and to be strong financially. The STAWA office is now based at Cannington. From January 2010 to January 2013 STAWA leased premises from Curtin University at the Resources and Chemistry Precinct. Prior to 2010, STAWA was housed at Osborne Park.
