HECS Reimbursement Scheme CLOSING DATE: 30th March 2008

• Did you work at least half time in a non-government secondary school, teaching science or mathematics throughout the 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007 school years?
• Are you qualified to teach mathematics, physics or chemistry at upper secondary level? And did you complete your Graduate Diploma in Education no earlier than 2002?
• Are you still employed as a secondary teacher?
• Have you completed within the last ten years an appropriate qualification in science or mathematics or other relevant subjects AND completed a Graduate Diploma in Education?
• Have you completed all or part of this study at a Western Australian university?


If you have answered yes to all of these questions then you may be eligible to benefit from the HECS Reimbursement Scheme. Please understand that the selection of successful applicants is done on a “priority” basis.
Applicants must complete the following form and attach documentary evidence of:

• HECS liability. This is a notice of assessment from the Australian Taxation Office preferably showing the maximum HECS debt incurred or for those paying fees up front, statements from the appropriate educational institution showing the amount paid per unit.
• Academic qualifications. Photocopies of degrees completed listing units studied and grades achieved.

Applications that do NOT provide this supporting evidence cannot be processed.
