Physics Day at Adventure World is a great day for students and teachers alike with activities, work sheets, displays and plenty of water!
Open to Year 10, 11 and 12 students studying Physics or Physical Science.

Physics Student Day General Information for 2008
Student & Teacher Guidelines
Adventure World staff will have absolutely authority over the safety and security of all rides and equipment. Students will not be allowed to interfere with the operation of any ride or apparatus. They will be expected to obey Adventure World staff at all times. It is vital that each participating school complies with the Department of Education and Training’s Water-Based Excursions Policy. Adventure World has taken considerable steps to ensure they meet Departmental requirements and they will work with schools to ensure all regulations are met.
Transportation
Transport to and from Adventure World will be the responsibility of the school and supervising teacher/s. The gates to Adventure World open at 9.00am, and close at 3.00pm. You will be able to bring students at anytime during the day and for any time period to suit your school’s requirements. Students and teachers will be responsible for their own food and drinks, you may bring your own picnic lunch; there is plenty of lawn space or alternatively, the restaurant and kiosks will be open during the day.
Tickets
Entry to Adventure World for students and teachers is via pre-purchased tickets through STAWA. At least one teacher from each school is required to attend, and supervisors may make up the rest of the student/teacher ratio.
One teacher per 10 students will be admitted for free!
Tickets are available through the STAWA office only. Collect money from each student and send a single cheque for the full amount together with the completed application form. Please do not send cash or individual student cheques. Tickets will be posted to your school, unless you have made a booking within the last two weeks before the day, in which case the tickets must be collected from the registration desk on the day. Please use the order form provided, other forms will not be accepted.
The activity books for years 10-12 are mailed with the tickets once paid for. Electronic copies are downloadable from the web. It is your responsibility to photocopy and provide individual copies to your students; these will not be available on the day.
Bad Weather
In the event of heavy rain and/or high winds, the event may be cancelled. Adventure World will make the final decision in this regard. If unsure, you are asked to contact them by phone on 9417 9666 the morning of the event. The students’ tickets will remain valid until 24th December 2008.
No refunds will be given.
